Simon Berg

Simon Berg (Boden, Suécia 1983). Possui um MFA em Fotografia pela Valand Academy de Gotemburgo (2012). Desde então vive e trabalha em Estocolmo, Suécia. Seu trabalho utiliza a fotografia still para revelar a nossa existência mortal, focando em cenas e objetos que são ao mesmo tempo atraentes e repugnantes. Simon Berg também recebeu diversos patrocínios e é autor de várias publicações e livros independentes através da sua editora Black Book Publications.

Born 1983 in Boden in the north of Sweden. Recieved a MFA in Photography at the Valand Academy in Gothenburg 2012. Since then living and working in Stockholm. Focusing closely on the details of everyday life that reveal our existence as mortal physical beings, by using still life photography that’s both attractive and repulsive at once.
Also frequently exhibited, the reciever of numerous grants and the author of multiple books and catalogues.
